He utilizes state of the art techniques such as cartilage restoration procedures to treat sports related and traumatic conditions. A Chicago area native, Dr. Maday graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Knox College with Bachelor of Arts degrees in chemistry and physics. A medical graduate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in the City of New York, Dr. Maday completed his residency at The New York Orthopaedic Hospital at the Columbia University Medical Center.
In addition, he completed an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine fellowship under Dr. Freddie Fu at The Center for Sports Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he cared for the University of Pittsburgh football team, University of Pittsburgh student athletes and the Pittsburgh Ballet.
Dr. Maday is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and was one of the first orthopaedic surgeons in the country to obtain a subspecialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has served as an instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America’s Learning Center training other physicians in arthroscopic techniques and has lectured on various sports medicine topics at local, national, and international medical conferences. He has authored articles and book chapters on sports medicine topics. Dr. Maday’s practice includes the care of athletes at all levels: recreational, high school, college and professional. He has served as team physician for various high school athletic programs in Chicago and the suburbs.
